Wolfeboro’s incredible scenery, sparkling waters and charming downtown make it a favorite destination for engagement, wedding or elopement celebrations.  The Barn at Pickering House is pleased to offer a new, upscale option for couples who want the rustic charm of a restored 19th century barn with modern luxuries and convenience to downtown activities. 

The Barn at Pickering House opened in July 2018 after a complete renovation. The Barn was built in the 1800s and retains many of its original features, yet offers the convenience of central air conditioning, heating, private bathrooms, a built-in bar and additional lighting. Our unique downtown location means that you and your guests can stroll to restaurants, shops and Wolfeboro’s Lake Winnipesaukee waterfront before and after your wedding events.

General Information

The Barn at Pickering House accommodates up to 150 people for sit-down events. It features:
• 40’ x 60’ open space with haylofts
• Sweeping central staircase
• Heating & air-conditioning
• Built-in bar
• Rectangular & round farm tables
• Cross-back, café-style chairs
• Assorted antique furnishings
• Interior, ADA-compliant bathrooms
• Adjacent prep kitchen

Rehearsal Dinners & Receptions

For larger events such as wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners, our entire property – including the 10-room Pickering House Inn – is reserved for the private use or you and your Inn guests for a minimum of two nights. You and your guests staying with us have exclusive use of the Inn and enjoy the full Pickering House Inn experience. Our Weekend Wedding Package includes:

  • Use of the Barn for One 5 Hour Event
  • A Combination of Rectangle and Round Farm Tables
  • Rustic Cross-back Chairs
  • Assorted Antique Serving Side Pieces/Furnishings
  • Decorative String Lighting
  • On-Site Coordination of Deliveries & Services
  • Event Manager & Staff On Duty Throughout the Event
