Pickering House Inn offers 10 spacious guest rooms located in the original 1813 Pickering homestead and in the ells added on in the mid-1800's. All rooms will be non-smoking and will include:

The original woodwork gives this spacious guest room wonderful historic character, but with all the luxuries of today. The over-sized bathroom features a double sink vanity and rain head shower. Large windows offer a beautiful view toward downtown Wolfeboro.

If you love lots of windows, this spacious guest room is sure to be a favorite. It offers spectacular views of Brewster Academy’s fields and beautiful light throughout the day. The original woodwork from 1813 adds old-world flair, while the oversized bathroom offers modern amenities such as a double sink vanity, private toilet area and large, tiled shower.

SECOND FLOOR| QUEEN

A rustic wood surround around a gas fireplace and a reading alcove make this queen room a cozy retreat. The spacious bathroom features white v groove wood and a crisp white vanity with double sinks. Over-sized windows on both sides of the room offer great views of Wolfeboro’s restored historic Town Hall and Brewster Field.

 

GUEST ROOM 4/ The Brewster Suite
THIRD FLOOR| MULTIPLE BEDS

This spacious suite is the perfect choice for parents touring Brewster Academy with older children.* It spans the entire third floor in the original, 1813 part of the Inn. Cathedral ceilings, planked walls and eclectic furnishings make the suite feel like an airy, upscale cottage. Catch a glimpse of the mountains through two skylights ideally positioned over the king-sized bed. The main sleeping area also features an open view gas stove and additional seating, while a cozy nook is the perfect hideaway with a day bed and custom bookshelves.  The bath features custom vanities and a ¾ glass shower.

*This suite will be able to accommodate three people.

FIRST FLOOR| QUEEN

As our only guest room on the first floor, Room 5 is ideal if you want to be close to the Gathering Kitchen, Library and other first floor common spaces – or if you want the easy accessibility of first floor space. Tucked away in a private area overlooking the rear gardens, this room features a queen-sized bed, corner fireplace, a spacious bathroom with a corner shower and custom vanity that easily accommodates guests with mobility issues. Cuddle up in front of the corner fireplace before or after venturing out when the weather is crisp.

SECOND FLOOR| KING or TWO TWINS

This room is an ideal choice if you need flexible sleeping accommodations. Our staff will prepare your room as a king-sized bed or as two twins. Room 6 overlooks the rear gardens and offers a glimpse of the downtown area. It features a stunning rustic wood headboard, complemented by a spacious bathroom with an over-sized shower and additional storage.

SECOND FLOOR| KING

This guest room is designed for comfort with a lovely corner gas fireplace with a flat screen TV above, ample seating and a top-of-the-line king bed. On a clear day, you can even catch a glimpse of distant mountain views!

This room features a top-of-the-line king-sized bed and a beautiful view across the field at Brewster Academy to the lake and mountains beyond. A cheerful yellow bathroom with white paneling completes the feel of a sunny retreat.

THIRD FLOOR| KING| MAX OCCUPANCY: 2

Bright and full of light, this third floor room is located up a private staircase next to The Pickering Suite.  A unique headboard made from original antique doors from Pickering House, cathedral ceilings, an open-faced gas stove, and a spacious bath make this guest room a very special retreat. This lovely room will be able to be booked on its own or in conjunction with The Pickering Suite. When booked with the suite, the entire third floor of the mid-1800’s ell portion of the property will become your private getaway.

The distinctive windows in the gabled dormers at the front of the Pickering House property have long captured the attention of passers-by. Now you can enjoy the view from the other side of the glass! Pickering Suite’s sitting area offers views through the wonderful windows, but that is just the beginning of its special features. A corner fireplace with a flat screen TV above, cathedral ceilings and a full, walk-in closet make this an ideal spot for brides and special event guests requiring a bit more space. Pickering Suite shares a private, third-floor location with Room 9 and the rooms may be booked together for the ultimate private haven.
