Peter and Patty Cooke, owners of Pickering House Inn, drew from their own experiences at luxury boutique hotels and inns when they created Pickering House. The Cookes envisioned a special place where they would like to stay themselves – a place with a relaxed feel, an attentive (but not hovering) staff, distinctive interiors, luxurious furnishings, boutique amenities, and a great downtown location within walking distance of Lake Winnipesaukee. The result is being one of the few properties in New Hampshire to receive national recognition. It has been named to the list of top hotels in New England by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler and for the third year in a row, named by Travel + Leisure Magazine World's Best Awards for New England, the United States and the World.

DINNER RESERVATIONS AT PAVILION
Stroll next door and enjoy an extraordinary dinner at the PAVILION restaurant. Founded by the same team behind Pickering House Inn, PAVILION takes Wolfeboro dining to a new level. As of 2023, PAVILION now features Executive Chef / Owner Chris Viaud and his culinary team, Inn guests may make dinner reservations before they are available to the general public. Please remember that especially in the busier months PAVILION reservations are hard to come by and that we cannot guarantee dining availability for reservation requests made less than 30 days of your stay (when PAVILION opens their reservations to the public).
