When February cabin fever strikes, Wolfeboro is a great destination for a fun winter getaway that makes the most of the season! Cross country ski or snowshoe on miles of groomed trails, ice skate at Wolfeboro’s Pop Whalen ice arena or on a frozen pond, try your hand at ice fishing on Lake Winnipesaukee, catch a sled dog race in nearby Tamworth, or join the fun at Wolfeboro’s Abenaki Ski area, the oldest community-run ski area in the country (lift tickets are just $20 for non-residents!). Thursday, Feb. 6 and Saturday, Feb. 9, 6:00 pm. – 8:00 pm
Join us in Pickering’s Kitchen, the gathering kitchen at Pickering House Inn, for a delicious, fun and educational cooking demonstration dinner. By reservation only.  Seats at the Saturday dinner are reserved for Inn guests until 10 days prior to the event.

Pickering House Inn’s Chef’s Table Valentine’s Day Dinner

Thursday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 16, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 pm
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with an intimate dinner in Pickering’s Kitchen, our wonderful gathering kitchen. Sip a glass of champagne and enjoy a special, three-course meal prepared by our chef, Patty Roche, in the cozy space. By reservation only.

Tamworth Distilling Tasting Dinner at The Barn at Pickering House

Saturday, Feb. 23, 6:00 pm. – 8:00 pm
Join us in The Barn at Pickering House for a fun dinner featuring tastings of cocktails prepared by Tamworth Distilling, a craft, small-batch distillery in nearby Tamworth. The five-course farm table dinner features tastes of custom cocktails between each course. Staff from Tamworth will provide insights about each cocktail, as well as information about crafting spirits. By reservation only.

Abenaki Winter Triathlon

Get a great workout and enjoy beautiful scenery with this fun event! It starts with a 1/2 mile snowshoe, then a 2.78 mile x-country ski through the snowy woods, then you run into the ice arena to finish off with a 1 mile lap skate. More info
