Dale Grout, owner of Johnson Paint & Wallpaper, grew up in Wolfeboro and attended the Carpenter School, next door to Pickering House. She was so happy to see her treasured childhood neighbor get a new lease on life that she wanted to help in some way. She stepped up to convince her supplier to donate all the exterior paint for the Pickering House renovation –- plus extend well-below-market-rate pricing on all the interior paint! Dale says she got involved because she was “so relieved that somebody bought Pickering House to fix it up and it didn’t go to a conglomerate.”
Anybody who has ever renovated an old home knows that renovation is more expensive than new construction. It is really a labor of love, and we so appreciate the local companies and national vendors who share our commitment to saving Pickering House and are helping offset the additional renovation costs. In so many ways, restoring Pickering House is truly taking a village – with Johnson Paint & Wallpaper a very important member of this “village.”
Dale’s support for Pickering House is just one example of Johnson Paint & Wallpaper’s long-standing commitment to Wolfeboro. The company was founded 30 years ago and Dale has owned it for the last decade. She and her staff are dedicated to outstanding products, outstanding service and being outstanding members of the community. Located at 9 Grove Street in Wolfeboro, Johnson is a full-service paint and wallpaper store carrying Benjamin Moore, Aura, California & Old Village Paints, as well as Cabot stains and an extensive array of in-stock wallpaper.
We’ve always been fans of Benjamin Moore's products, but we particularly love Johnson Paint because they always go above and beyond for their customers – in this case, WAY above and beyond. Thank you Johnson Paint & Wallpaper!
