When we discovered that the majority of Pickering House’s existing wood siding was rotted, HardiePlank® Lap Siding was our first choice for a replacement. When we renovated our own 1850's Wolfeboro home, we turned to HardiePlank because it looks like wood, yet is far more durable and much lower maintenance. Manufactured by James Hardie Building Products, HardiePlank is fiber-cement siding that is resistant to fire, rot and insects – plus it accepts paint beautifully.
With the help of Jason Chizmar, our James Hardie Building Products sales representative, the company stepped forward to offer pricing breaks that made the siding financially feasible. According to Michael DiRico, Area Sales Manager – New England for James Hardie Building Products, “we are pleased to have a role in restoring an important part of Wolfeboro’s history and to participate in a project that has so much community support.” Mike says that “as a company, James Hardie is committed to providing the aesthetic that is consistent with the community, but with all the benefits of today’s technology.”
We are delighted to welcome James Hardie Building Products as our newest participant in Pickering House’s Vendor Program. The Vendor Program was created to recognize and thank the generous businesses that are providing discounts on materials and services to help give Pickering House a new lease on life. These businesses have a deep appreciation for the value – but also the high cost – of renovating the treasured historic structures that give so many communities their unique characters.
Thank you James Hardie Building Products!
