Thank You to CertainTeed/Shingles & Its Wonderful Sales Rep

As we’ve written many times before, it truly takes a village to bring a fading old gem like Pickering House back to life. We continue to be so grateful for all the kind words of encouragement from community members and the offers of in-kind support from treasured vendors.

CertainTeed, a subsidiary of Saint-Gobain, is the most recent vendor to go above and beyond to support the Pickering House renovation. CertainTeed makes many different building products, including wonderful roof shingles that Patty uses in many of her projects for Wentworth Style.  CertainTeed Pewterwood is her “go to” shingle that, thanks to CertainTeed/Shingles’s generosity, she will be using at Pickering House. A lot of shingles will be required on Pickering House’s sprawling roof and we are so grateful to have received support to keep costs in check.

We particularly want to thank CertainTeed/Shingles Sales Representative Kevin Barrett for his commitment to our project. Kevin enjoys supporting historical projects, explaining “I think it’s extremely important to save our history and heritage. We need to look forward but always remember the past and that we are building on the efforts of those who came before us.”

CertainTeed/Shingle’s support of Pickering House is part of the company’s commitment to responsible building and community support.  Learn more about their building products and their 113-year history at www.certainteed.com.
