A Message from Peter and Patty
The first snow flurries came down this week and our crew is working hard to button up Pickering House before winter arrives in earnest. The site is non-stop action and every day brings new decisions to be made and details that require attention. It is a bit of whirlwind right now, but when we take a step back and look at how far Pickering House has come, we are filled with an overwhelming sense of satisfaction and -- most of all -- gratitude.
We are so grateful to live in Wolfeboro, where our everyday scenery is stunningly beautiful, the downtown feels like a step back in time, and there is a true sense of community.
We are so grateful for the encouragement we have received over the past year. From emailed notes of support, to kind words on social media, to quick chats on the sidewalk, we have been overwhelmed by the kindness and support shown by so many members of our community.
We are so grateful for the support from many New Hampshire businesses. Their generosity is helping us give Pickering House new life.
We are so grateful for our fabulous construction team and subcontractors. This is not a typical project and they always rise to the occasion by thinking outside the box.
We are so grateful to our family and friends. This project has been a group effort. We so appreciate the unique skills of each person, as well as their patience and understanding about our crazy schedules.
We are so grateful for you. You care enough to read about Pickering House and follow our progress. We look forward to welcoming you in 2018!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
All the best,
Peter & Patty
