We know that the Pickering House was built sometime in the 1820s. And while we know much about Daniel Pickering, another step in our research is finding out more about the house itself. We’ve retained Mae Williams, an architectural historian based in Meredith NH, to take on the task of documenting the history. From there, we will make the determination as to whether it makes sense (and whether the property would actually qualify) as a candidate to be listed on the National Historic Register. The Wolfeboro Town Hall (shown below) along with four other buildings in town, currently have this designation.
