Our Favorite Rugs Led Us to One of Our Favorite Inns

This is a story about how rug research and inn research converged into a great connection with a woman whom we have long admired. It starts with Patty’s devotion to rugs that make an impact.

Patty creates interiors from the floor up, using the rug (or bare floor) as a starting point for a room’s color scheme and décor. Dash & Albert rugs have been a long-time favorite because they combine striking designs with long-wearing quality. When we started looking at Dash & Albert rugs for Pickering House Inn, we were excited to discover that Annie Selke, owner of Dash & Albert and other home furnishing brands, had opened 33 Main, a luxury lodging destination in Lenox, Massachusetts. Of course we had to go!

Long story short, we went to 33 Main, met Annie, and just clicked with both. Annie is a kindred spirit who loves so many of the same things that we do. If you are looking for a getaway before Pickering House Inn is open –- or if you are planning a trip to Massachusetts -- we highly recommend a stay at 33 Main in Lenox.

When Pickering House opens, you’ll find dozens of Dash & Albert rugs throughout the Inn. We are pleased to feature rugs we love from a business owner who has so warmly embraced what we are doing to give our historic property a new life!
