Pickering House Inn is a historic inn with a thoroughly modern approach. Enjoy the personal service and amenities of a small luxury hotel with the relaxed vibe and signature breakfasts more often associated with bed and breakfasts. Discover one-of-a-kind rooms filled with whimsical features and the latest luxuries, gathering spaces for casual conversation, an expansive sitting porch, attentive staff and a location within strolling distance of Lake Winnipesaukee and downtown shops.
Pickering House Inn is the result of a two-year renovation of a local landmark known as “The Yellow House.” Built in 1813, The Yellow House became the homestead of Daniel Pickering, a prosperous businessman who had a tremendous influence on the fortunes of Wolfeboro. We are honored to preserve Daniel Pickering’s legacy by giving his former homestead a new lease on life.
From mouth-watering breakfasts, to tasty afternoon treats, to special dining events in The Barn at Pickering House, great food is part of the Pickering House experience. We have a wonderful team of culinary specialists who whip up everything from morning scones to special three-course farm table dinners held on select dates in The Barn. And new for 2021 — the PAVILION restaurant is now open next door to the Inn, bringing a new dining and spirits experience to Wolfeboro. Learn more
