Since we opened Pickering House in summer of 2018, creating amazing dining experiences and outstanding food has also been a key focus.
In addition to our in-house culinary team, we began hosting our community barn dinners in 2019. Hosting some of the best of New England's Chefs, vitners, brew masters and distillers, these dinners are a full experience of amazing food, beverages and breathtaking setting in our 1800's Barn at Pickering House.
Alongside the fantastic culinary offerings provided at Pickering, Wolfeboro's burgeoning local culinary scene is sure to be one of the highlights during your stay. With numerous lakeside dining options, a wide variety of culinary specialties, and a wide array of formal or casual settings, the choices are bountiful. Our guest services team is eager to make recommendations and help arrange for reservations if needed. From special occasions to that perfect night out, there is sure to be a great choice for everyone's palate.

BREAKFAST AT PICKERING
The Barn at Pickering House is open to the public daily from 8-10am. Enjoy a new menu including unique selections such as our honey & herb biscuit with prosciutto, arugula, honeycomb, house-pickled vegetables and Cortland apple butter. Reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made by calling our team at 603-569-6948.

Situated next door to the House, Samuel Avery’s Tavern is ready to greet you. Avery’s offers the hospitality of a tavern, a warm and welcoming gathering place, paired with a refined dining experience featuring a seasonally fresh, scratch-made menu showcasing the best of local flavors.
