COVID precautions - The Pickering House Inn
OUR COVID-19 POLICY
Slider

The safety and well-being of our guests and employees is always our top priority, but that commitment takes on special significance in light of the global outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus). We are committed to following the recommended procedures and protocols of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and State of New Hampshire COVID-19 guidelines. This includes a commitment to the highest level of cleanliness in all public areas, guest rooms, and facilities on our property.

GUEST ROOMS:
Please note that each guest room has a stand-alone heating/cooling system (meaning they do not share ductwork).

FOOD SERVICE:
We are continuing to offer breakfast each morning of your stay in our Gathering Kitchen. We are setting seating arrangements in keeping with physical distancing standards and will, if necessary, stagger service times between 7:30-9:30am.

PRIVATE EVENTS:
For those booking events in The Barn at Pickering House and at the Inn, we understand your challenge. We will work with you to adjust plans if you need to reduce the number of guests and / or subject to availability, re-schedule your event. Please discuss further with our Venue / Event Manager for specifics and contract information.

PICKERING HOUSE EVENTS:
Until further notice, unless a private event, all Pickering House Events (in Pickering’s Kitchen as well as The Barn at Pickering House) will adhere to socially spaced seating (6 feet apart).

CANCELLATION POLICY:
As a small, 10-room inn, we need to adhere to our standard cancellation policy. It is hard to predict how the outbreak of COVID-19 may impact your travel plans between now and your arrival date.

  • If you would like to postpone your scheduled stay to a future date due to COVID-19 concerns, we are happy to cancel your reservation and issue a non-refundable Gift Certificate toward a future stay.
  • May we also suggest that you consider getting Travel Insurance.

Please call our front desk at 603-569-6948 for more information.

MASK POLICY:
We follow state recommendations. If guests and staff come within six feet of each other, the State of New Hampshire requires that masks be worn by staff and recommend cloth face coverings for guests.  View State Recommendations for Lodging Facilities

GENERAL SAFETY:
We encourage you to follow CDC recommendations for staying healthy during the COVID pandemic and flu season:

  • Wash your hands frequently
  • Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Limit exposure to sick people

To safeguard the health of our guests and other visitors, we ask that you postpone your visit if you are ill with flu-like symptoms, or if you have recently traveled to a region that is experiencing widespread transmission of COVID-19.

We are requiring all guests to sign a quarantine statement upon check-in to maintain a healthy environment for all guests and staff at Pickering House Inn.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 603-569-6948 or email us at stay@pickeringhousewolfeboro.com.
