THE STOPOVER by Meghan Murray — Last weekend, my sister and I took a quick weekend trip to New Hampshire for a relaxing stay at The Pickering House Inn. Located about 1.5 hours north of Boston on Lake Winnipesaukee, Wolfeboro is a true New England town and The Pickering House Inn is a perfect representation of Wolfeboro. Originally built in the early 1800s, The Pickering House was recently renovated. The renovation gave the inn all of the modern-day amenities while maintaining the original charm of the building.
After taking a tour of the common areas, and deciding which sofa I was going to curl up on later, I head to my room. The rooms have the best amenities. From heated bathroom floors to Ursa Major face wipes (I use Ursa Major face wash on the reg, so I was pumped to see these products), they have everything you might need to feel right at home. (And yes, there are robes.)
