Mouth-watering almond croissants. Melt-in-your-mouth muffins. Incredibly addictive (and hard to describe) “POPS” snacks…. Barbara Mosley’s baking talents have earned her a devoted following in the Wolfeboro area. Stellaloona Bakery, which she co-owns with her partner, Mary Jane, has become a beloved institution. In addition, Barbara and Mary Jane also operate a small catering business.
Pickering House Inn is thrilled to announce that Barbara is joining our staff as a pastry chef, sous chef, and a key member of our events catering team. Barbara and Mary Jane are in the process of selling Stellaloona Bakery and Gatherings by Stellaloona to scale back to a more sane lifestyle. “It is a very bittersweet decision but life dictated a change. I just feel fortunate that as one door is closing, Pickering House Inn opened its doors and offered the perfect opportunity,” Barbara comments.
In the morning, Barbara will be preparing our breakfast pastries and assisting Chef Patty Roche with the daily guest breakfast. Barbara will also prepare afternoon snacks for guests and she will help develop and expand inventive appetizers and light meals in the Gathering Kitchen to accompany evening wine, beer and cocktails.
Barbara will continue to be part of the fabric of Wolfeboro’s community through our many public events and she is already enjoying meeting our wonderful guests who are visiting the area. We are so pleased to welcome her to Pickering House Inn!
